Melody Eraser Support (English)
Melody Eraser is an iPhone app that removes the center-panned melody — vocals or
lead instruments — from music you already own, leaving a backing track you can
practice along with.
Frequently asked questions
- Which audio files are supported? —
Your own DRM-free stereo audio files (M4A, MP3, WAV, ALAC, AIFF, or FLAC).
Tracks ripped from your CDs and songs purchased from the iTunes Store work as is.
Songs downloaded from streaming services are DRM-protected and can’t be used.
- The melody isn’t removed completely —
The app can remove only the “center component” — sound that sits in both
channels at the same level and timing — so how well it works depends on how
the track was mixed. We recommend listening with headphones.
- Where are exported files saved? —
In the Melody Eraser folder in the Files app.
