Kanade MIDI Player Privacy Policy (English)

Overview

This policy covers Kanade MIDI Player for Mac and for Windows (together, “the app”). The app does not collect any data. All processing happens entirely on your computer, and there are no user accounts.

Your files

• The app reads only files that are already on your computer.
• File contents are never transmitted over the internet.
• Any SoundFont or DLS files you add (SoundFont only on Windows) are likewise used only on your computer.
• Companion files in the same folder as the song — WRD files (.wrd / .sry) that carry lyrics and effects, attached text files, and images a WRD file refers to — are also read when you open the song and used for display. They, too, are used only on your computer and are never transmitted.

Settings

Settings such as the MIDI output ports and display mode are stored only on your computer (on Windows, in the app’s own data folder). Nothing is ever transmitted.

Information the app handles, and your controls

The app reads and writes only the following, all of it on your computer; nothing is transmitted or disclosed to anyone, including daifuku labs.

• The song files you open and their companion files in the same folder (see “Your files”). They stay where you put them; the app does not copy them elsewhere.
• The names of MIDI devices connected to your computer (to let you choose an output).
• Settings (the MIDI output ports, display mode, the location of any SoundFont or DLS files you add, and so on). They live in the app’s container on Mac and in the app’s own data folder on Windows, and are removed when you uninstall the app.

Your Full Version purchase is a purchase record belonging to your Apple or Microsoft account and is handled under Apple’s or Microsoft’s privacy policy. To exercise any rights you have under the laws of your region, or for any questions, use the contact below.

Network use

The app itself makes no internet connections. The only exception is that the operating system’s store features (the App Store on Mac, the Microsoft Store on Windows) communicate with Apple or Microsoft to process the Full Version purchase and to check its status. Neither the app nor daifuku labs receives any of your information through that communication. If this changes with a future feature, this page will be updated to reflect it.

In-app purchases

• Mac: Purchases and restores of the Full Version are processed by Apple through the App Store. The app learns only whether the purchase has been made; it never receives or stores payment details or personal information. Your purchase status is recorded only on your Mac.
• Windows: The Full Version purchase is processed by Microsoft through the Microsoft Store, which also keeps the record of whether you have bought it; the app only checks that record. Neither the app nor daifuku labs receives your payment details or personal information.

Children

The app is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be revised as features are added or changed. Material changes will be announced by updating this page.
